You are currently viewing The Future of Networking is Automation – Here’s Why

With the development in technological advances and how Artificial Intelligence (“AI”) is reducing the workload across many work spheres, it is safe to say that the Future of Networking is Automation.

AI will be doing most of the work in the very near future. A growth in complication networks has resulted in the adoption of multi-cloud technologies. This article will discuss the study conducted by the network analytics company Kentik. It shows that network management will increasingly become more and more AI centric.

Recent Studies About Networking Automation

The study received responses that were taken at Cisco Live 2019. These responses revealed that network automation of one kind or another was used in almost 85% of work setups and organizations. The study also revealed that organizations were more and more inclined towards adoption of Artificial Intelligence For Operations or what may be commonly referred to as “AIOps”.  The acronym has been adopted by the network analytics company “Kentik”.

Today, automation is a part of networking organizations in numerous ways and manners. The Report states that the same is because automation or AIs are substituting and adding new virtual overlay, constructs, elements, and underlay. Thereby making the stack a bit more tedious to understand. This is where automation comes into play.

Artificial Intelligence for Operations also assists network management in many ways. They leverage many sources of historical and real-time data. The same also enables organizations to recognize anomalies and add contextual embellishments apart from applying AI/ML to analyze patterns. This is also done expertly by employing AI to present and conclude the most practical solution.

Cloud Automation

With respect to whether or not the above-mentioned automation is already beginning, the Report found that many organizations were either transitioning into or already moving to cloud automation. This is to reiterate that this is only one of the kinds of network automation. Today, cloud adoption is growing at a rapid rate. The growing importance of cloud use as a tool of automation is already popular as of date. A cloud service will ensure that network management is stress-free with only a minimal monthly fee. The report found that 53% of the organizations analyzed by the network analytics company employed one or the other kind of automation tool.

Some of the many benefits of automation are, firstly, it helps tremendously in workload management of the organization. Secondly, it is perfect for policy management and automation of a company. Lastly, automation encourages and enables the company to move many steps closer to ensuring that the above goals are routinely done, which is neither time-consuming nor difficult. Rather, automation and AIs allow things to move in a simple, efficient and quick manner.

Conclusion

In conclusion, we would also reiterate that an increase in automation does not mean that networking professionals have to be concerned about being replaced as these tools will only replace the basic and mundane tasks.

Robert E. Allen Jr.

About Robert E. Allen Jr. A Journey of Integrity, Innovation, and Impact Welcome to my corner of the web, where the confluence of technology, entrepreneurship, and ethical business practices come to life. I'm Robert E. Allen Jr., a proud native of southern Ohio, where my roots run deep into the fabric of community and hard work. My journey in the tech world began at Shawnee State University, a chapter filled with exploration and the beginnings of a lifelong passion for computer science. However, my academic path took a turn toward the prestigious halls of Penn State, where I completed my degree and set the foundation for what would become a nearly three-decade-long adventure in business. Building an Empire on Principles Nearly 30 years ago, I embarked on an entrepreneurial journey, not just to start a business, but to build an empire defined by a commitment to ethical practices and community service. Inspired by the Rotary four-way test—Is it the truth? Is it fair to all concerned? Will it build goodwill and better friendships? Will it be beneficial to all concerned?—my business philosophy centers on these questions, guiding every decision and interaction. This ethos has not only shaped my professional life but has also fostered a culture of integrity, trust, and mutual respect within my company and with our clients. A Family Man at Heart Beyond the world of bits, bytes, and business, my life is rich with love and laughter, thanks to my wife and our two wonderful daughters. They are my why, the reason behind every late night, every early morning, and every decision to push the boundaries of what's possible. Together, we've created a life filled with memories, learning, and love—a true testament to the balance between professional ambition and personal fulfillment. Looking Forward As I look to the future, my goal is to continue leveraging technology to make a positive impact on the world, guided by the principles that have brought me this far. I strive to innovate, to lead with integrity, and to inspire those around me to do the same. Whether through my business endeavors, community service, or simply by being a role model to my daughters, my journey is about creating a legacy that transcends technology—a legacy of positive change, ethical leadership, and a commitment to making the world a better place for future generations. Thank you for visiting my site. I hope to not only share my journey with you but also to inspire you to pursue your passions, lead with integrity, and make a meaningful impact in your corner of the world.
